We are looking to fill the following position:
Workshop Manager – Historic Engine Restoration
We are looking to recruit a Engine Build Manager to oversee the workload of our specialist engine building team. Extensive experience of building automotive engines is essential, preferably from the motorsport or historic car industry. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work are also required.
Skills and Experience Required

Proven experience of leading a technical team

Experience in engine restoration and automotive mechanics

Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in liaising with customers

Excellent organisational / planning skills

Experience of managing workshops or restoration projects

Passion for historic engines and their preservation
Responsibilities

Oversee the assembly and restoration of historic engines, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.

Utilise mechanical knowledge and hand tools for precision work, including heavy lifting and equipment repair.

Interpret schematics to guide restoration processes and troubleshoot issues.

Maintain a safe and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

Provide excellent customer service by communicating project updates and addressing client inquiries.

Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and project efficiency.
